This summer, Vans introduces the EVDNT UltimateWaffle, Vans’ greatest innovation in lifestyle footwear.

As the first-of-its-kind lifestyle silhouette featuring UltimateWaffle construction, this new style features a translucent outsole that combines a built-in UltraCush™ insole with an internal stabilizing shank for more cushioning and support.

The EVDNT’s sleek and tapered silhouette is stylish enough to go with anything, while its UltimateWafffle construction makes it a standout style comfortable for every occasion. To create the EVDNT UltimateWaffle, Vans leveraged decades of experience in skate shoe technology and its newly developed UltimateWaffle outsole construction to create the perfect lifestyle shoe for all-the-time wear. “The overall idea was to keep all the durability and function of a skate shoe and add the comfort and cushioning of an everyday shoe,” said Nathanial Iott, senior director of footwear design at Vans.

For the initial delivery, the EVDNT UltimateWaffle comes in a robust color scheme in shades of blue and grey—just neutral enough to be versatile, but bold enough to stand out in a crowd. An asymmetrical perforated leather vamp and flipped iteration of Vans’ iconic Sidestripe lend a unique appeal to this shoe, while the translucent outsole makes it a true showstopper. 

Vans is also proud to introduce the EVDNT UltimateWaffle for kids, an everyday shoe engineered specifically to stand up to the wear-and-tear of kids using the best technology from skate footwear. Featuring a kids-specific UltimateWaffle construction, a perforated suede vamp, and soft mesh on the upper for enhanced breathability, durability, and comfort, this shoe can take anything the playground has to throw at it—then come back the next day for more.

And because kids deserve to look good too, the EVDNT UltimateWaffle V also delivers in the style department. The sleek and tapered shoe evokes the adults EVDNT UltimateWaffle, but with a kids specific UltimateWaffle cupsole. Its versatile grey colorway coordinates with any outfit, while its translucent outsole reveals the midsole inside for a bold style statement.
