Held last June 18, the event featured skate challenges hosted by Jerwin Santos, Dhan Lumanas, and Mark Fernandez and live performances from DJ Scratchmark, La Luna, Waiian, and Vans Musicians Wanted finalists.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES (21 June 2022) — Vans, the original action sports brand and global icon for creative self-expression brought Filipino skateboarders, skate fans, and skate enthusiasts together for Vans Sidewalk Sessions in celebration of Go Skateboarding Day 2022. 

Held in the newly re-opened Manila Skate Park, the event started with a 3 kilometer push parade with participants who skateboarded from Liwasang Bonifacio to the Manila Skate Park. Skate  challenges from Jerwin Santos, Dhan Lumanas, and Mark Fernandez as well as live performances from DJ Scratchmark, La Luna, Waiian, and Vans Musicians Wanted finalists were featured.

In partnership with The Rail, Calle, One Manila, and the City of Manila, Vans Sidewalk Sessions aims to celebrate the  thriving and colorful local skate scene by providing a platform where skateboarders of all levels and genres come together.

Through Vans Sidewalk Sessions, we aim to drive cultural progression through community, competition, and storytelling while enabling the youth to express themselves and promoting skateboarding as a sport and lifestyle.”
